Psychology Cultures is hosted by the Clinical Psychology course at the University of Leicester, England. Our aim is to develop high quality clinical psychology knowledge and practice in the East Midlands. Leicester is a proudly multicultural city, and on the Clinical Psychology course we have had a longstanding commitment to teaching and developing psychology practice with diverse populations and carrying out research and scholarship within this area.

The title Psychology Cultures reflects our interest in thinking globally about different psychology cultures around the world, and using this knowledge to inform our practice locally. It also reflects our commitment to addressing the real challenges in developing psychological thinking in healthcare settings in the UK, and in society more generally.

The Leicester clinical psychology course has developed links with psychology colleagues in India, Cuba, Ethiopia and the United States. We organise regular exchanges, hosting visits from psychologists in these countries and sending our trainees on clinical placements there. We also have international trainees and welcome their contribution to our training community.
